Typically the primary objective during kitchen remodeling is changing the look and feel of the cabinetry. Majority of the time we find the cabinetry in your kitchen is in good structural shape and demolishing your cabinetry to change the look and feel can be very counterproductive when it comes to renovating your kitchen in a cost-effective manner.
You can dramatically change the look and feel of your kitchen by a process known as refacing. This will give you all the benefits of a new kitchen for just a fraction of the cost.
Cabinet refacing is essentially a replacement of the cabinet’s skin. We replace the doors and draw fronts with new veneer over the existing surface of the cabinets. The hinges, handles, and drawer pulls can also be replaced to further change the aesthetics of your kitchen.
The process to reface your kitchen will typically take up to three days to complete depending on the size and complexity of your request. A three-day schedule will typically go as follows:
Day 1: Remove hardware, doors, and drawer fronts. Begin veneering. Pick up and clean at end of the day.
Day 2: Continue veneering. Pick up and clean at end of the day
Day 3: Finish veneering. Install new doors and rawer fronts. Install hardware. Make final adjustments.
